Paralimni

 

Paralimni is the main town and commerce area on the west side of Cyprus. Situated close to the border with Northern Cyprus here you can see all the Cyprus North property abandoned after the occupation and easily accessed from the main resort towns in the area.

If shopping is your thing then Paralimni will defiantly keep you occupied for a few hours with a great selection of shops and boutiques to explore. There is plenty of variety including sports shops, lots of shoe shops, trendy boutiques and even a branch of Marks and Spencer.

There are two large supermarkets in paralimni where you can purchase everything from food to furniture and a garden center catering for the growing number of people taking advantage of the holiday villas Cyprus sale going on all over Cyprus.

Eating out in Paralimni will cost you a lot less than the main resorts and there is plenty to choose from including traditional tavernas and the usual selection of fast food outlets you would normally find in any major town.

There is a cinema just off the main highway showing the latest films should you fancy a night out at the movies. Banks, furniture shops and trade stores of every kind imaginable populate April 1^st Avenue the main highroad through the town, so if you can’t find what you are looking for there you won’t find it anywhere.

Paralimni is everything you would expect from a bustling Mediterranean town with its town square, offices and bars but there is a relaxed sleepy atmosphere around the square.    

The town square with its many café bars is a great place for a relaxing break in-between shops. The centerpiece of the square, a beautiful church is well worth a visit whilst you are there.
