
All the Cyprus holiday resorts are easily accessed via the main coastal motorway.
The major A roads are well signposted in both English and Greek so finding your way around the Island is a snap.
Cyprus is split into clearly defined areas named after the major towns such as Famagusta area or Pathos area ect , although if you should find yourself in Famagusta town you will have crossed the border into Northern Cyprus.
Don't forget that most Southern Cypriot car hire agency's do not provide insurance cover in the North so we would advise you against taking any hire vehicles into northern Cyprus. The border is open to tourist provided you take your passport and fill out a travel visa at the border check point
Whilst enjoying your holiday its well worth taking the time to explore Cyprus and the best way to do so is by car. There are plenty of car hire offices all over Cyprus so it's well worth shopping around and haggling for a good deal.
There are some excellent Cyprus beaches to be found of the beaten track that you can often have to yourself for the whole day. Or experience the powerful serenity of the Troodos Mountains Legendary home of the Greek gods.
Whatever you choose to do you will find that Cyprus is a great place to drive far removed from the stresses of motoring related to the rest of Europe. with a great mix of modern motorways and winding rural roads. So enjoy!
